Getting closer…
Hey all,
as you can see, I have now rented some webspace of my own and am working on making this butt-ugly thing a bit better looking. Stay tuned for a website that will eventually be good looking.
So, what else has been happening in casa de Walter for the last couple of months?
- First off, I am now hosting a couchsurfing collective. As we speak, 5 awesome nerds are working on improving the couchsurfing website right from my house. It has been a lot of fun and we’re actually sad that we’re already half-way through
- I took the day off from work yesterday for a whopping 7 hour session of cancelling subscriptions and services. I have never spoken to so many servicedesks in one day in my life before! Most of the stuff that I don’t need my parents’ autograph for (they will be my legal representatives) has been taken care of now.
- I have spent a shitload of money getting vaccinations for all kinds of contageous diseases. Only 5 more appointments and i’ll be almost completely safe from the world’s most dangerous contageous diseases.
- I have bought a new laptop, camera, rain coat, self inflatable and some other stuff that I think I will need when traveling around
- I have booked a flight from Bremen, Germany to Oslo, Norway for September 5th. It was some kind of promotion from RyanAir (European budget airline), so it actually cost me a whopping 6€ (that’s including airport taxes and everything!
- I have decided on a first location I wanna travel towards: Tromso in Northern-Norway. It is an awesome small student town located 350Km north of the arctic circle. Even though my finnish roommate thinks that is “so not northpole!”, I feel like it is pretty damn close
- My awesome roommates introduced me into the world of hitchhiking on our way back from London. Although they were a little sceptic about a big metalhead like me getting a ride _ever_, I managed to get us two of the three rides and we got home almost as fast as is possible by a car you would be driving yourself! I definitely like this form of transportation and I think I’m gonna make extensive use of it during my travels
That’s about all for now. I’ll try to increase the frequency of posting in the next two months, soyou guys can stay a little more up to date
Walter
